The Undertaker returned to WWE on Raw, and many are wondering how much longer we will see The Deadman. According to Chris King, he’s far from done.

‘The Best in the World’ Shane McMahon and ‘The Scottish Psychopath’, have been causing as much chaos as humanly possible in their vendetta against ‘The Big Dog’ Roman Reigns. Every chance they’ve gotten; either one cheat and interfere into matches, to ensure complete dominance and utter destruction. This all changed last Monday when ‘The Deadman’ The Undertaker made his shocking return to save Reigns from another two-on-one situation. At Extreme Rules, Undertaker and Reigns will join forces for one night only, and face McIntyre and McMahon. We are only two weeks away from the pay-per-view; and this seems like an appropriate time to discuss two possible scenarios, that can spin-off from their tag team contest.

The Two Most Likely Scenarios

1. The Deadman Wants Revenge

Undertaker and Reigns are no strangers to each other as they faced off a few years ago in the main event of WrestleMania 33. ‘The Big Dog’ and ‘The Deadman’ were battling over ownership of “the yard” aka the squared circle. Taker the old gunslinger; who had claimed souls and kicked ass for over two decades, wanted to hold his own against the young buck. Reigns on the other hand; was looking to add another amazing accomplishment in his short WWE career. Reigns won the match and claimed his yard for the foreseeable future.

Both competitors have not been seen in the same ring except for one night.

On July 7, 2018, on a house show at Madison Square Garden Arena Undertaker tagged with Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns to battle Constable Corbin, Kevin Owens, and Elias. The babyfaces came up victorious; Strowman paid his respects to The Deadman and exited the ring, which left the former WrestleMania rivals alone. After a tensed stare down Taker and Reigns buried the hatchet and shook hands.

I would be remiss if I didn’t bring up how Taker repaid Brock Lesnar after ending his undefeated streak. At 2015 Battleground; when Lesnar was challenging then-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in the main event, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ had sealed the victory after a ferocious F5.The official went to count 1-2-Lights Go Out!

When they came back on; a vengeful Taker appeared out of nowhere Lesnar stopped dead in his tracks, as if he’d seen a ghost. Taker’s actions spoke for themselves; as he humbled The Beast with a vicious low-blow, a chokeslam and not one but two devastating Tombstone Piledrivers. The message was crystal clear, he was out to avenge the most crucial loss of his illustrious career.

When Taker arrived to aid Reigns on this past Monday; the two did not even look at each other and no words were spoken, leaving the WWE Universe to ponder. Could this unexpected alignment be nothing more than a mere ploy to exact his revenge on ‘The Big Dog’? With SummerSlam only a few months away, could we witness Taker/Reigns II to even the score? One wrong move by Reigns and his Roman Empire could come crumbling down!

2. Passing The Torch

This is the most likely possible outcome. On the Post-Mania-34-Raw; ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ Drew McIntyre made his return to Raw, after a four-year departure from WWE. He was paired up with Dolph Ziggler; the dynamic duo took Monday nights by storm and entered into a highly-aggressive feud with ‘The Shield’ (Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose), in which McIntyre and Ziggler captured the Raw Tag Team Championships.

The pairing would implode in 2019; as McIntyre brutally assaulted Ziggler labeling him as “deadweight” and he ran the show as a one-man ass-kicking machine. Shortly after this, Reigns would make his triumphant return after battling his leukemia. McIntyre decided to give him a special congratulatory present in the form of a ferocious Claymore Kick! Both rivals then; entered into a WrestleMania program where McIntyre was positioned into an unstoppable force, taking out Ambrose and Reigns at any given moment.

What appeared as a HUGE coming out party for McIntyre; that would have catapulted him into the Universal championship title scene, quickly dissolved into another disappointing Reigns hero conquering the evil villain.

McIntyre lost gigantic momentum after the crucial loss, leaving him spinning his wheels in the background. Reigns was drafted to SmackDown Live; who immediately entered into a bitter rivalry with ‘The Best in the World’ Shane and Elias, after on his first night on the Blue brand he Superman Punched the CEO of WWE Vince McMahon.

On May 21, 2019-edition of SmackDown Live Elias and Reigns in a Money in the Bank rematch. Reigns overcame the odds stacked against him and won the match. Post-Match Shane picked up Elias’s guitar, attempted to blast ‘The Big Dog’ instead he ate a Superman Punch for his troubles. Out of nowhere, ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ blasted his former adversary with a Claymore Kick and aligned himself with Shane and Elias.

Fast forward to this past Monday; when ‘The Deadman’ evened the odds and stopped another brutal onslaught from occurring, stormed his yard and pummeled McIntyre and delivered a vicious Chokeslam to Shane. The lasting image of McIntyre holding his beloved leader; on the ramp with fear covering his face compelled me to believe a WrestleMania match may be in the works.

At Stomping Grounds; McIntyre suffered yet another momentum-crushing loss to Reigns, and I see no reason for McIntyre to add another defeat to his growing list. WWE can provide the WWE Universe with a massive swerve at Extreme Rules; with almost everyone convinced that the babyfaces will prevail over the evil heels, but what if at the end of the contest McIntyre takes Taker out with a devastating Claymore Kick to lead to an impressive victory in his young career.

Not only would this give McIntyre, a colossal amount of heat for putting down ‘The Deadman’ it would also give him something to boast about for months on end. It will also leave the WWE Universe with the question when ‘The Reaper’ will return for McIntyre to pay for his sons and collect his soul?

I can see it playing out exactly like this.McIntyre finally ascends to the Universal Championship title scene, and at Royal Rumble pay-per-view he can be closing in on claiming his first Universal championship until the lights go out…Taker arrives behind him and drops him with a Chokeslam and a deafening Tombstone Piledriver!

‘The Scottish Psychopath’ will be hell-bent on retribution, and challenges Taker to a match on the Grandest Stage of Them All WrestleMania 36, and once again the WWE Universe would be expecting ‘The Deadman’ come out on top. However, McIntyre writes his name down in history as the third-man-ever to ever beat one of the most iconic legendary WWE superstars in company history. Forget about Taker passing the torch to McIntyre, ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ will take the damn thing and will ring true the Vince McMahon-proclaimed nickname as ‘The Chosen One!

Chris King: Is Brock Lesnar Truly Retired?

Brock Lesnar retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, right? Are we totally sure? Chris King asks…

Brock Lesnar WWE WrestleMania 42 Retirement

Brock Lesnar retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, right? Are we totally sure? Chris King asks…

At WrestleMania 42, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar took off his boots and gloves following his loss to Oba Femi. Lesnar has done it all inside of his twenty-four-year career in professional wrestling. He’s a ten-time WWE Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion, and he’s one who ended The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania.

While Lesnar was in the ring, he was visibly overwhelmed with emotion and crying while he thanked the fans in his own way. The Beast even threw up an x to signal to Paul Heyman, his longtime friend and advocate, that this was not scripted and was real. There had been rumors that Lesnar and Oba were supposed to have a series of matches before everything went down at Mania.

‘The Career Killer’ Gunther was doing Heyman’s bidding as he faced Seth Rollins for a favor. For a while now since Gunther retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, the rumor has been Gunther was set to retire Lesnar in his hometown at this year’s SummerSlam event. There’s been no confirmation if Lesnar is truly retired, but on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we saw Heyman talking with General Manager Nick Aldis. Later that night following Rhodes’ match against the debuting Ricky Saints, Gunther choked out the WWE Champion. Could this be the favor from Heyman?

I know in the world of professional wrestling we live by the mantra of “never say never,” but what if Lesnar is actually retired and this was WWE’s way of shutting down those rumors about Gunther and Lesnar? What if Gunther’s next program is chasing after the WWE title, and where is Randy Orton at in all of these plans? There are so many questions that need to be answered, hopefully soon!

Chris King: Defend The Intercontinental Championship At Backlash!

With WWE Backlash upon us, Chris King wants to see Penta defend the Intercontinental Championship in Tampa!

Penta WWE Intercontinental Championship WrestleMania 42

With WWE Backlash upon us, Chris King wants to see Penta defend the Intercontinental Championship in Tampa!

This year’s annual Backlash showcase is only a few days away, and while there are many big matches announced, one that definitely should be isn’t on the card. In my opinion, outside of Roman Reigns/Jacob Fatu and Seth Rollins/Bron Breakker, the Intercontinental Championship scene has been stellar over the last month.

Penta has been an excellent champion, especially after his triumphant title defense in a ladder match against JeVon Evans, Rusev, Dragon Lee, and the Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 42. Their ladder match at Mania was one of the best that WWE has produced in a while.

The momentum never stopped, as on the post-Mania episode of Monday Night Raw, ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page made his debut and was quickly inserted into the Intercontinental title scene. Page had a fantastic showing against his longtime NXT rival Evans and picked up a big win in his debut match thanks to an assist from Rusev.

All Ego immediately joined forces with ‘The Bulgarian Brute’ Rusev, who was also vying for the Intercontinental Title in his own right. On this week’s episode of Raw, Page and Rusev defeated Evans and Penta. All Ego pinned the champion, making a huge statement and putting him one step closer to getting a title shot. For the past few weeks I’ve been anxiously waiting to see if WWE was going to add this incredible fatal four-way match for the Intercontinental Championship, but it hasn’t happened yet.

As much as the WWE Universe enjoys witnessing great matches on free television, I truly believe all four superstars deserve the chance to showcase their talents on the PLE. While Penta has done a terrific job as the intercontinental champion, it’s time for a fresh face to hold the prestigious title. Page would make a great braggadocious heel that would help elevate the Intercontinental Championship to new heights!
