Kim Turman Laurinaitis, widow of Road Warrior Animal (Joe Laurinaitis), publicly condemned A&E’s Biography: WWE Legends episode on The Road Warriors after it aired, saying she was never contacted to participate and calling the program “disgusting.” In a Facebook post she accused unnamed “phony” interviewees of misrepresenting her husband, disputed the documentary’s depiction of his death—insisting he died in their hotel room on Sept. 22, 2020 and that she was the only spouse present with paramedics—and said the production ignored her role preserving his trademarks and legacy.

The episode, directed by Matt Laffey as part of season five of Biography: WWE Legends, included interviews with Laurinaitis’ first two wives, Nancy and Julia, and featured daughter Jessica recounting Joe’s passing. Joe Laurinaitis died of a heart attack while living with congestive heart failure in Osage Beach, Missouri; the season also includes installments on the Von Erichs and The Four Horsemen and is produced by A&E in partnership with WWE.

Mayu Iwatani announced at Korakuen Hall that she is vacating Pro Wrestling NOAH’s GHC Women’s Championship after fracturing her big toe in two places last month and will be unable to return in time for Wrestle Magic on June 15. A new champion will be crowned at Wrestle Magic, with participants to be announced; Iwatani left the belt in the ring and apologized to fans before departing.

Iwatani, formerly a top star in Stardom and now aligned with Marigold (where she still holds the Marigold Supefly Championship), said she plans to come back and pursue the GHC title again; her reign lasted 135 days. The GHC Women’s Championship, introduced in 2024, has been held by Kouki Amarei, Takumi Iroha and Iwatani, and NOAH’s June 15 Wrestle Magic will be headlined by a six-man tag featuring Kaito Kiyamiya, Titus Alexander and Archie Cole against a team representing NJPW, DDT and Dragon Gate.
